Recruitment firm increases organic visibility after brand restructure
The Challenge
We first started working with CK Group as an SEO client on their separate websites: ckscience.co.uk, ckclinical.co.uk and cktechnical.co.uk.
Our first challenge was to increase organic traffic and the discoverability of open job roles. We approached the SEO strategy in line with how prospective candidates discovered employment opportunities. In short, we worked with the team to research and produce ‘job profile’ content according to well-structured page briefs to ensure that we addressed user-specific search intent.
The Solution
Strategic brand restructuring
Prospective clients and candidates often mentioned ‘CK Group’ regardless of the website in question which led to a disjointed user journey. Lauren, the Group Marketing Manager, made the strategic decision to opt for a website migration – effectively merging all the websites into the main group site: ckgroup.co.uk This presented a unique opportunity to consolidate brand equity and further strengthen CK Group’s online presence as a whole with the following benefits: Further, enhance the effectiveness of our SEO strategy Improve the structure of the new website with both SEO and users in mind Consolidate ‘brand power’ and positioning in line with user expectations However, there was a major risk as ckscience.co.uk and ckclinical.co.uk were both performing well from an acquisition perspective. It was particularly important to approach a migration with careful consideration.

Over 12 months, our content strategy led to over 2.7 million impressions from ‘job profiles’ and 25,000 clicks with 483 target keywords now appear on the 1st page of Google.
